Elementary School Teacher

Salary: CHF 105,000 – CHF 130,000 per year
Location: Zurich, Switzerland

Position Overview

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Elementary School Teacher to join our founding academic team. The successful candidate will foster a positive, engaging, and supportive learning environment that promotes students’ academic, social, and emotional development.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging lessons aligned with the school's curriculum and educational philosophy
• Create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating classroom environment
• Support students’ academic, emotional, and social growth
• Implement inquiry-based and experiential learning approaches
• Assess student progress and provide regular feedback to parents and guardians
• Collaborate effectively with fellow teachers, specialists, and school leadership
• Participate in school events, parent conferences, and professional development activities
• Maintain accurate student records, assessments, and reports

QualificationsEducational & Professional Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Education, Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, or a related field
• Valid teaching certification or license
• Minimum of 3–5 years of teaching experience in elementary education
• Experience in international schools or multicultural environments preferred
• Strong classroom management and communication skills
• Passion for student-centered learning and holistic child development
• Swiss Diploma Recognition (EDK) required
• Fluency in English; German language proficiency is a strong advantage
• German language proficiency at CEFR C1 or C2 level required
• Ability to communicate effectively with students, parents, colleagues, and local educational authorities in both English and German
