About the Role



As part of the internship in the Group Costing Methods team you will:


  • Be part of a team designing and implementing the next generation of our internal economic model for decision making in underwriting. Giving you an exciting opportunity to be shape the future of Swiss Re's costing world.
  • Develop new tests and testing approaches for pivotal pieces of the metrics underlying decision-making in Swiss Re.

About the Team



We are the Group Costing Methods Team in Swiss Re's Underwriting Excellence Group. Together, we are mainly responsible for the definition and improvement of the internal costing model, including the review, calibration, and deployment of costing parameters.
The team frequently collaborates with the underwriting functions across the company, and global functions like Finance.


About You


  • You are pursuing or have just completed a bachelor's or master's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Computer Science or Economics.
  • Strong analytical skills and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to focus on details without losing track of the bigger picture
  • Experience with analytical tools, database software and a programming language is a plus
  • Ability to express yourself clearly in one-on-one conversations and when talking in front of groups
  • You have the ability to work independently
  • You naturally bring individuals together as needed, across countries and functions
  • You are proficient in English

Due to immigration regulations non-EU/EFTA and UK citizens must provide a certificate from a Swiss university confirming that an internship is integral to their course of study. Kindly submit the mandatory letter from your university with your application documents.
