At Jet Aviation Engineering department in Basel there is an extreme focus on achieving dates and ticking boxes. The whole vision of the department is weekly timed, there is hardly any preparation for a time-frame longer than 1-2 weeks. The management are too far off detached from reality and do not appreciate any critic or suggestions. There is a culture of clans and groups, where if you belong to one it's all fine if you do not you are ousted. The workplace culture is currently toxic. The projects are very interesting and challenge the engineers to often think of creative ways to find solutions. There use to be a lot to learn but currently it has become increasingly hard to learn anything new. The progress is very slow and tied to having friendship relationships with management rather that merit.

Because no aircraft was the same, all the work was bespoke. As a technical illustrator, this was a fantastic environment to work in. My colleagues were all very friendly and welcoming from day one. Management was good and appreciated all my efforts, great place to work.
Le management est inexistant sauf pour baisser son pantalon devant les clients. Aucun reconnaissance du travail bien fait par contre si tu lèches bien tu iras loin. Trop de copinage. RH français qui ne connaissent même pas les lois Suisse. Les gens arrivent tout motivés et au bout de 6 mois sont juste dégoutés et résignés. Si vous avez besoin de payer vos factures pas le choix sinon à éviter. The management is non-existent except to lower his trousers in front of the customers. No recognition of the work done well but if you suck well you'll go far. Too much cronyism. French HR who do not even know the Swiss laws. People arrive all motivated and after 6 months are just disgusted and resigned. If you need to pay your bills no choice if not to avoid .

I enjoyed the people that I worked with and the projects that I worked on. But the management of employees did not seem aligned to the principles of the Company. Very little advancements made during the time in the company and favoritisms to certain people very evident.
Vous savez quand vous commencez mais jamais lorsque le travail se termine. Les opprtunités de dévelopement sont nombreuse pour les gens qui s'invetissent même si la taille de l'entreprise amène à un manque de ransparence et de communication. Le Président actual est sans aucun doute l'un des meilleurs sur les 20 dernières années. Chaque jour est différent et apporte de nouveaux challenges auxquels il faut savoir faire face. L'endurance, une grande flexibilité et un moral à toutes épreuves sont les clés du succès. ne pas compter ces heures pour atteindre les objectifs en prenant soin de ses employés. Proactivité, quality et sécurité sont les mots d'ordre.

At the forefront of VIP aircraft completions, Jet Aviation is a company that has high quality of product, customer service standards. Also very process driven with adherence to aviation rules and regulations a requirement. Aircraft safety and compliance with national and international rules is very high in the culture. A good place to work, although can sometimes be stressful due to time constraints on the tasks.
VIP aircraft are very interesting, and also a very diverse team of Woolf from different cultures, make working at Jet Aviation enjoyable

As I worked with Jet Aviation over a period of 10 years and two owner changes, it was a challenge to keep up. Upper management changes occurred to rapidly and gave a lack of stability to those under the umbrella. Some changes over the years went back to the original plans that never worked in the first place. Hard to read the direction.
